Scouting Woods DGC in Peabody is a beginner friendly disc golf course located at 100 summit st. in Peabody,MA. This is a 9 hole course at the moment. There are no plans to expand as of now, as far as we know ,but we can hope. All but one hole is under 300 feet making this course ideal for disc golfers who have less distance of the tee. While the hole length is short it is a very wooded and hilly course so there will still be some tough shots for more talented disc golfers. The course was opened in early 2014 and has brand new discatcher baskets. The tees are crushed stone boxed out with 2x4's. There is a decent amount of parking right at hole 1. Because this is a dedicated disc golf course there is little worry of non disc golfers straying on to fairways. The course is used be the locals to walk there dogs but they are all good about not letting them grab discs and staying out of the way of flying objects. The course plays like a toned down version of Devens if you are familiar with that course. The tees signs tell you everything you would want to know.(see pic on right or below if your are viewing the mobile site) Navigation at this course is a breeze. No worries of getting lost looking for the next tee.
